Couple Sardar
Bhupinder Singh Ubhi and Smt. Ravinder Kaur handles the
Publication of 'Ramgarhia Munch' in the absence of
Sardar Kirpal Singh Ubhi, a renowned personality in
Ramgarhia Politics.
Sardar Bhupinder Singh Ubhi was born on January 24th, 1964 at
village Bhojowal Distt Jalandhar to Smt Ranjit Kaur. His
father Sardar Kirpal Singh Ubhi is the chief editor of
'Ramgarhia Munch' and actively participates in all
Ramgarhia gatherings. Sardar Bupinder Singh Ubhi is
popularly known as 'Rana' in his family and as sub
editor of 'Ramgarhia Munch' in Ramgarhiakom.

He
did his matriculation from Saint Xavier's School in 1980
with first division. Then he did his B.Sc. from Karim
City College Jamshedpur. After completing his B.Sc., he
started to publish religious monthly magazine “Sat
Santokh Gyan” from Bihar. For that he had done every
work from Peon to Publisher. The family was in good
position there. Year 1984 brought a very hard time for
the family. They lost their printing press and other
valuables at Bihar in riots against Sikhs. Then he
migrated to Ludhiana, where he started his publishing
house. In Shivajee Nagar, Ludhiana “Ramgarhia Munch” a
weekly news paper for Ramgarhiakom was born. This has
been publishing weekly without any break till date. They
tried their level best to cope up with the financial
constrain but they had to shift at BHOJOWAL (a small
village of Distt Jalandhar) in 1987 to avoid extra
expenses. |

From 1987 to 1988 he did the composing, editing,
printing and dispatching of the magazine with the help
of his father and other family members. In 1990, they
purchased three shops at J. S. Complex , Shashtri
Market, Jalandhar and the weekly newspaper has been
publishing successfully from the new venue till date. He
got married to Smt. Ravinder Kaur (B.A. B.Ed.) in April
1991. She is very soft spoken homely lady but I had seen
her on editor's desk while performing her duty honestly
when Sardar Bhupinder Singh was doing out side chores
and Sardar Kirpal Singh was on his visit to England. The
couple is always ready to serve the community. |
|
I have seen leadership qualities in him and hope that
Ramgarhiakom must be proud of this fellow in coming
future. The couple is blessed with a daughter Manvin
Kaur and a son Gaganjit Singh. The couple is a strong
believer in Ramgarhia Unity. |
