Young scientist award winner Miss Balbir Kaur Matharu
gives credit for her success to her guide Dr. M. R.
Manrao and teacher Mrs. Kiran of Atam Public School who
always motivated and guided her that she can do better.
She has
a potential to get good marks. With the these pushing
words that her little more efforts will give her more
reorganization she worked hard and made Ramgarhia
community feel proud. |

She was born to Smt. Gurdev Kaur Riat on 30th July,1978.
Her father Sardar Manjit Singh Matharu is a gentle
person. He is also a member of Sarab Rog ka Aukhed Naam.
He is a social person. Miss Balbir Kaur Matharoo is hard
worker. She did her matriculation in 1994 while securing
77.7%. She is a state merit scholarship holder. She
completed her post graduation in Chemistry (organic)
securing 82.3%. Presently she is doing PhD in Chemistry.
She is an active participant of debates, declamation
contest, singing and dramatics and have won many awards.
She has a distinction to be 'summer research student'
for six weeks in Department of Chemistry, Chandigarh. |

There are many publications to her credit. These are Matharu
BK, Sharma JR & Rai M(2001), 'Effect of size of molecule on
fungi toxicity of Schiff Bases (International Conference on
Pesticides, Environment and Food security held at Society of
Pesticide Science , New Delhi, India). |

This is just one of her many publications. She is a good
actress, anchor and singer. She likes western as well as
Indian folk music. Her favorite singers in western music
include Celine Dion, Bryan Adams, Backstreet boys and Britney
spears. She also owes the credit of her success to her parents
who always stood with her at every phase of her life and
constantly inspired her to do the best. "I think if the
parents have confidence in their daughters and give them the
choice to choose a career by themselves then the girls of our
community can do much better" says Balbir Kaur while
expressing her views on Ramgarhia community. She is fond of
Kishore's songs. Her favourite song is "ghungroo ke tranh
bajta he rahha hoon main". "She conveys the message that every
child of Ramgarhiakom must be educated if we want to see our
community prosperous. We wish that she achieves her goals with
dignity and pride and make feel proud her parents and
teachers". |
