Sardar Harcharan Singh Birdi, winner of Gold medal in
Quality in 1980 is also a man with a golden heart. He
always come forward for the work for Ramgarhia
community. Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Hall at
Janakpuri, Ludhiana has also come into being due to the
hard work of Sardar Harcharan Singh Birdi, popularly
known as ‘Birson’. |

He was born to Smt. Swaran Kaur Lall on 13th April, 1933
at Karachi (Pakistan). His father Sardar Gurdial Singh
Birdi owned a well established business of tubewell
boring and sanitary work. In 1947 the family migrated to
Punjab (India). He completed his education in Dholeta,
Jalandhar. From 1949 to 1959 he worked with many expert
renowned Ramgarhia's in Machine Tool and with
manufacturer's of Friction Forging Presses at Goraya. |

After that he came to Ludhiana and established his own firm
under the name of BIRSON INDUSTRIES (Regd.) at G.T. Road,
Ludhiana. Under the brand name of BIRSON he is manufacturing
Forging/ Friction Screw Presses and Power Presses ranging from
25 Tons to 630 tons. He is member of various social
organizations. He is Junior Vice President of Ramgarhia
Education Council, Ludhiana. He is also life member of
Ramgarhia Dhiman Sabha, Phagwara. He had organized Punjab
level function on the Birthday of Maharaja Jassa Singh
Ramgarhia at Phagwara. |

He got married to Smt. Ajit Kaur Riat on 14th November, 1953.
The couple is blessed with three sons and four daughters. |

Elder Son Sardar Manjit Singh was born on 26th July, 1956 at
village Dholeta. He had his education from Khalsa College,
Ludhiana. He is also member of many social, industrial,
cultural and religious organizations. He is looking after the
Birson Industries. He got married to Smt. Gurdeep Kaur Bhogal
on 25th December,1982 of Behram village. The couple is blessed
with two sons and two daughters. |

Middle son Sardar Major Singh was born on 25th April,1961. He
had his education from Arya College, Ludhiana. He is also
helping his father in Birson Industries. He got married to Smt.
Kuldeep Kaur Matharoo of Village Chitti Distt. Jalandhar On
6th February, 1985. The couple is blessed with a son and a
daughter. |

Younger son Sardar Harvinder Singh was born on 4th
August,1964. He also had his education from Arya College,
Ludhiana. He is looking after the other unit Birson Forging.
He got married to Smt. Satinder Kaur Jheetay on 10th
October,1987. The couple is blessed with a son and a daughter.
The family had conveyed his
message to Ramgarhiakom that 'United we Stand'. |
